Dr. Carroll's interests include obstetrics, family planning, preventive care, community health, mental health, and environmental protection.
Dr. Carroll is the Clinic's Medical Director. He serves on various hospital committees, is active in water quality protection in our Toe River watershed, and is a cyclist and kayaker. He is a member of the Bakersville Volunteer Fire Department. Dr. Carroll is married to Beverly and has three 4-legged "children."
Barbara Stagg, MD

Dr. Stagg has three children Tadayoshi, Sejiro, and Keikichi Littleton and four stepchildren Vanessa, Dylan, Myrthin, and Tristan Stagg. Dr. Stagg and her children are avid dancers and participate in the annual Nutcracker. Her husband, Barry Stagg, is a well-known American/Canadian recording artist for cash box. Dr. Stagg can often be seen singing on stage with her husband.
Rebecca Brooks, MD

Dr. Brooks grew up in Buena vista, VA which is on the parkway. She went to undergrad school at Appalachian State and worked at Baxter’s in the Chemistry Dept. for 5 years before starting medical school. After completing her Family Practice Residency at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville, NC, she moved to the Highland-Cashiers, NC area. There she worked at Mountain Area Family Medicine and the Highlands-Cashiers Hospital ER Dept. before joining Bakersville Community Medical Clinic in 2005. Dr. Brooks is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.
Dwight J. Willett, MD

Dr. Willett and his wife Kathryn, a Physical Therapist, are from the East Tennessee area. They have a love of the Appalachian region and wanted to find a place where they could build long-lasting relationships with the community and make a real difference in the lives of their patients and their family.
Dr. Willett is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine in Family Medicine and in Geriatrics.

Dr. Cope is married to Theresa Anderson, who is a clinical psychologist. The have three children, Jason, Melissa, and Kelly.

Employment: Lisa has over 53 years experience attending home births and now attends births at Blue Ridge Regional Hospital in Spruce Pine; at Bakersville Community Medical Clinic since 1998.
Lisa is married to Gavriel; they have three sons: Moses, Eric, and Jesse.

Jeannette lives with her husband, Ray and two dogs in the Bakersville area. Jeannette specializes in diabetic care and management.

Pat was initially employed at BCMC in 1988, for sixteen years. She then spent seven years as a Nationally Certified School Nurse in the Mitchell County School system. In January 2012 Pat returned to the clinic to provide acute care services to established clinic patients and school-age children in the community. As a native of Mitchell County she feels very close to the people and enjoys providing needed health care services to this area.
Susanna S. Kivette, PA-C

Ms. Kivette, PA-C, grew up in Boone, NC. She volunteered her time with the Peace Corps in the Northwest Province of South Africa, and also spent time in Hanoi, Vietnam and Costa Rica. She is proficient in the languages of Spanish and Setswana.
She is certified by the NC DOT to perform CDL exams.

Chuck joined BCMC in 2011 after over 35 years in banking and finance. A graduate of East Tennessee State University, Chuck is married to Denna and they have two grown children, Angela and Adam.
